ALD puts more cars on road
|
Leasing company ALD Automotive saw its overall fleet increase by 3% in France in the first half of this year, with 15% new cars on the road outstripping end of contracts. According to Director General Jean-François Chanal, the company is forecasting arise of 8% for the whole year. One of the company’s major new contracts is with Ugap, which has already taken 7,000 vehicles this year, a figure which is set to double over the whole of 2010. Where electric cars are concerned, the company believes that rental periods will probably be longer once these vehicles really come to the market, due to the much lower mileages expected. And costing based on actual distances driven cannot be ruled out, nor can the possibility of the battery remaining the property of the vehicle user.
