Athlon Car Lease is internationalizing its remarketing activity

 Athlon Car Lease has opened its first international remarketing centre in Warsaw, Poland. The centre is intended to handle end of contract vehicles both from Poland and from other countries. Athlon has been active in Poland for around four years and currently manages some 2000 contracts in the country. Some five hundred or more vehicles will shortly be reaching the end of their lease, which makes this new local remarketing centre all the more important.
The centre will at first be for the use of dealers and garage owners, but may also be made available to private buyers, as is the case with Athlon Car Lease’s Dutch remarketing centre. The company will be analysing which European countries can best use the new centre, and will be taking transport costs to the Polish capital into account.
The European car fleet of Athlon Car Lease counts 225,000 vehicles and the lease company has around 50,000 end of contract vehicles a year to deal with. In all some 1,800 vehicles per year may be remarketed via Warsaw. Athlon also intends to attract small and medium sized Polish businesses through this new offering.
