The new Seat Alhambra has been voted ‘MPV of the Year’ in Portugal, by the ‘Crystal Steering Wheel Trophy’ jury. The Spanish company’s model beat rivals including Ford’s Galaxy and C-Max. This award for Seat follows similar triumphs in the European Union’s most westerly state, with the Ibiza named ‘Most Wanted Vehicle’ in 2009, and the Ibiza Cupra being named ‘Sporty Compact of the Year’ in 2010.
The Alhambra (5 Euro NCAP crash test stars) has also received awards in other countries: in Germany, ‘best imported MPV in the ‘Auto Trophy 2010’ awards, best MPV from ‘Motor und Sport’, and in the UK, What Car’s Best MPV.
