Better Place signs accord with Chery

Better Place, a world leader in service networks for electric vehicles, has signed an agreement with Chery Automotive in . This is the first appearance of Better Place in China. Chery Automotive is the country’s largest manufacturer and exporter of electric vehicles. The agreement involves the development of electric vehicle technology in what is now the largest car market in the world. To illustrate this new protocol, Chery is currently presenting a Better Place recharging point and a battery exchange station on its stand at the Beijing Motor Show. To explain the potential of the Chinese market, Better Place Vice-President Dan Cohen said: “Only 2% of the Chinese population have a car, and in the case of 80% of these, it is still their first car. has the possibility of creating a whole new category of clean vehicles, and to become a leader”. For his part, Chery Vice President Dr. Yang added: “We think that our collaboration will give both companies the necessary resources to take a leadership role in the development of electric vehicles in China and beyond”.
