Daimler and Chinese company BYD have signed an agreement involving the development of a new electric vehicle destined to meet the requirements of the Chinese market. A common technology centre will be established in for the development, conception and evaluation of the vehicle. With its numerous enormous metropolitan areas, is believed to show great potential for the deployment of electric vehicles. Daimler has recently unveiled the smart electric and will be marketing an electric A-Class this year.
