Allego partners with Shell for fast-charging in UK and Netherlands

Shell and EV charging solutions provider Allego are working together to install and operate the first fast chargers f (50 kW) or electric vehicles at selected Shell service stations in the UK and The Netherlands. All fast chargers should be operational by the end of 2017. The first ones will open in Greater London, Derby and the western part of the Netherlands.

“We see that people are willing to shift towards electric mobility. But a lack of appropriate charging infrastructure and interoperable charging services is one of their main concerns”, says Anja van Niersen (pictured), CEO of Allego. “By joining forces with Shell join, we will add fast chargers at the right service stations. Shell now actively contributes to creating a reliable and open charging network - accessible to all EV drivers, irrespective of the model they drive.”
