Crit'Air fines take effect from July

France has published the fines payable by motorists who do not display the correct anti-pollution sticker – the so-called Crit'Air vignette – on their vehicle in restricted areas.

From July 1st, motorists caught driving in so-called ZCRs (zones à circulation restreinte) without the appropriate Crit'Air vignette face a fine of €68 for categories M1, N1 or L,  or €135 for categories M2, M3, N2 or N3. In general, the first amount will apply to cars, the second to LCVs.
