Renault-owned Romanian brand Dacia is one of four brands to receive a five-star reliability rating in the 2017 Which? Car Guide. More than 44,000 British car owners were involved in the annual study, which features two categories: vehicles aged between zero and three years, and those between three and eight years of age. In both cases, Dacia proved an A-student.
The results are based on owner experience in the last 12 months regarding breakdowns and faults, taking into account repair costs and downtime. It is not the first time that Dacia ranks high in reliability studies. More than four million Dacias have been sold since the brand was reintroduced in Europe by Groupe Renault in 2004. Dacia was launched in the UK in 2013 and has sold over 100,000 cars to date.
