Europcar acquires Danish franchisee

Europcar has acquired its Danish franchisee, one of its biggest in terms of revenue. The vehicle rental group now extends its corporate network to 11 countries. With circa 30% market share, Europcar Denmark is the national market leader. The company has 40 branches throughout Denmark and at all major airports, and operates a rental fleet in excess of 6,000 vehicles (cars, vans and specialist vehicles). Last year, it generated €60 million in revenue.

“We will learn what can be achieved in new market segments such as the market position Europcar Denmark has developed among entertainment & production companies”, said Caroline Parot (pictured), CEO of Europcar Group. “Only four months after buying our Irish franchisee, we take the next step in our dynamic acquisition plan, allowing us to strengthen our leadership, with in sight our 2020 ambition”.
