La Poste launches fleet management for e-bikes

Bemobi, the sustainable mobility subsidiary of French postal group La Poste, is launching three fleet management offers aimed at companies, local governments and communities interested in using electric bicycles.

These e-bikes are very popular with postal workers. For a range of tasks, they can replace cars. La Poste itself has a fleet of 25,000 e-bikes – quite possibly the largest such fleet in France.

Bemobi aims to capitalise on La Poste's e-bike experience. One offer entails the setup and management of an e-bike-sharing service, another the supply of e-bikes for work purposes, and the third is specifically aimed at local authorities, allowing their employees to test e-bikes.

“These offers are part of our multimodal approach. Our aim is not to replace corporate fleets, but to offer additional options to the existing modes of transport”, says Frédéric Delaval, CEO of Bemobi.
