Should you switch from diesel to petrol? Attend the IFMI webinar to find out

According to a recent KPMG survey, no less than 53% of auto industry decision makers think “diesel is dead”. Our own survey of fleet decision makers reveals a 50/50 split between those who feel the time is right to switch away from diesel and those who don't. Clearly, it's a subject that divides opinion and creates uncertainty.

Recent scandals have damaged the fuel's reputation, and this has accelerated fiscal restrictions by national governments, as well as access restrictions by and to an increasingly long list of cities. As a result, the fortunes of diesel are dipping, and those of petrol are peaking.

But how true is that general impression upon closer inspection? Because diesel remains by far the preferred fuel of corporate fleets across Europe. So: is there a business case for switching your fleet vehicles to petrol – or should you keep on preferring diesel?

This is a crucial question for every fleet professional, and some of the best experts in the business will be providing answers in a shortly upcoming webinar hosted by the International Fleet Managers Institute. Tune in on Thursday, 4 May from 4.30pm to 5.15pm for: Diesel vs. Petrol – How to Identify the Best Choice for Your Fleet.

The IFMI webinar will feature a number of expert speakers:

→ Introduction by Erwin Bouwmans (BDO): The Legal and Fiscal Context of Diesel vs. Petrol

→ Main presentation by Hervé Girardot (Arval) and Mathijs van der Goot (LeasePlan): Diesel or Petrol – Making the Right Choice

→ Corporate client case study by Patrick Martinoli (Fleet Mgmt Director at Facilities & Mobility Mgmt, Orange): Why switch from Diesel to Petrol

The experts will be at hand to answer your specific questions in a Q&A session following the main presentations.

Attendance is free, but registration is required. Go here to register. See you then!
