Siemens and SPIE partner on charging infrastructure
Manufacturing conglomerate Siemens and multi-technical service provider SPIE are partnering to create EV charging infrastructure in Germany. The companies aim to provide comprehensive packages in line with customer requirements, from consulting and installing to operating.
Siemens provides the charging systems, with power outputs ranging from 50 kW to 350 kW. With over 200 branches in Germany, SPIE is ideally placed to install, commission, operate, integrate and maintain Siemens’ portfolio of DC fast-charging systems – regardless of the back-end system.
To seal the deal, the two companies installed a 50-kW compact power charger at a Siemens location in Frankfurt. The charger offers common standards including CCS, CHAdeMO and Type 2.
