Fuel company Total Belgium and car rental company Europcar have reached a partnership agreement to promote the use of electric cars by providing rapid recharging in service stations. Clients of Europcar will thus be able to use the recharging points of Total in the country. The companies are making this available with a ‘Plug to Drive’ card which will enable users to recharge the vehicles in ten minutes at a cost of four Euros, giving an extra 50 kilometres of range. Speaking on behalf of Total, Belgium, director General Patrice Brès said that this initiative was designed to respond to the needs of Europcar electric car users. Didier Fenix, director general of Europcar Belgium, spoke of providing a complete electric mobility offering.
