Fiat figures on the increase

The Fiat Group has announced that in the third quarter of 2010 its revenues were up by 11.9% compared to the same quarter in 2009, reaching € 13.5 billion. Operating profit almost doubled, to € 586 million. Net profit stood at € 190 million. The company said that all business lines made a positive contribution to this performance. Fiat Group Automobiles contributed € 130 million to the operating profits figure, down from € 155 million in 2009. While deliveries of passenger cars were down by around 10% at 481,000 units, the resurging LUV market saw deliveries increase by around 20%.
