This year’s eagerly awaited Fleet Europe Forum held in Madrid, broke records. Firstly, more than 550 fleet professionals took the time to travel to the Spanish capital, including over 200 international fleet managers. And secondly, this year they came from 23 countries.
Introducing the Forum, Fleet Europe’s Caroline Thonnon and Steven Schoefs explained that the general theme would be on moving to the next dimension in fleet management, a concept which takes in the idea of mobility management. In particular, the Forum would explore how this concept would impact upon fleet management as we know it. To give their views and share their experiences were expert speakers representing fleet managers, leasing companies, vehicle manufacturers, industry analysts… They were able to outline current trends, in a current market climate which Caroline Thonnon described as presenting lots of challenges, but displaying lots of confidence… She believed there was a willingness to change, and a dynamic spirit of innovation within the sector. And those who took part in the Forum were not disappointed.
Rob Custers of Siemens: “I was impressed by the quality of the speakers last year and it is the same this year”. Head of Alphabet Norbert van den Eijnden spoke of the importance of the Forum each year: “It is a very important place to meet customers and suppliers”.
