Good CO2 results for Toyota

go back print this page     send page by mail     Comments

A report just published by the European Commission and European Environmental Agency shows that the fleet-wide average CO2 emissions for Toyota models stood at 112.2 grams per km in 2010. This gives Toyota Motor Europe the lowest emissions of any manufacturer, using the ‘65% lowest emitting models’ rule. Both Toyota and Lexus models are included in the average. The Commission had set TME a target of 128.35 grams. Its target for the industry as a whole is 130 grams in 2015. In Europe, over 10% of Toyota and Lexus sales in 2011 were made in hybrid vehicles.
