Hyundai honoured in Detroit

The Hyundai Sonata has been named as ‘International Car of the Year’ at the Detroit Motor Show. The design and technical characteristics of this saloon car persuaded the jury, whose president Courtney Caldwell said: “The new Sonata surprised us with its smooth suspension and with its modern and economic engines which give it the best fuel economy in its class”. Another new Hyundai model, the i40 is set to appear in European showrooms in March, sharing some technical elements withy the Sonata.
