LeasePlan has published its annual results for 2011. These show an increase of 13% in net profit to 225 million Euros, with the total number of vehicles under management also up, by 2.7% to over 1.3 million. LeasePlan Bank also performed well once again. LeasePlan employs around 6,250 people, and has its headquarters in Almere, close to Amsterdam. Commenting on these positive results, chairman Vahid Daemi said: “LeasePlan once again delivered impressive results in an economic environment that continues to present many challenges”. He alluded to an acquisition in Portugal accounting to the majority of the increase in vehicle numbers, along with autonomous growth in other markets.
