Mercedes sales sustain growth
|
Mercedes-Benz has announced that it is looking for double digit sales over the whole of 2010. Following a month of July which saw worldwide sales up by 17%, the company is expecting momentum to continue. This ninth consecutive month of double digit growth saw 97,700 cars delivered, against 83,500 in July 2009. Sales January to July 2010 stood at 654,400, up by around 90,000 from last year. July was the brand’s best ever month in , up by 205% from July 2009 to 14,600 cars. Sales throughout Asia-Pacific and in (up 116%) were particularly strong. and also recorded increases of around 150%. Sales in the traditionally important market were also up, this time by 7%. July saw just over 47,000 vehicles sold in Western Europe. The two largest saloon models in the range – the S-Class and E-Class – contributed most to worldwide sales increases.
