On July 1, 2009, Dieter Horni, who previously was head of marketing & sales truck tire replacement business D-A-CH region, has taken over as head of Continental Tire South Africa Ltd from Claudio Boezio, who has left the company.

Horni has been replaced by Marko Multhaupt, who was head of Controlling in the Truck Tires Europe business unit. In South Africa, Horni will be responsible for tire production in Port Elizabeth in addition to sales.
