Audi scores hat trick at 2017 Fleet News Awards

Audi scored three wins at the 2017 Fleet News Awards, hosted last Wednesday by BBC News anchor Huw Edwards at Grosvenor House in London. More than 1,400 people were in attendance, including transport minister John Hayes. Audi won Fleet Manufacturer of the Year, Best Compact Premium Car for the A3 and Best Premium Car for the A4. 

Mercedes also had a good night, taking home two trophies for the E-Class, as Best Executive Car and New Company Car of the Year. Hyundai too scored a double win, as Green Fleet Manufacturer of the Year and for the new Ioniq Electric, as Best Zero-Emission Plug-in Car of the Year.

  • The award for Best Leasing Company in the large-fleet category went to Zenith, in recognition for its customer service platform that allows it to quickly identify areas of improvement. 
  • The Customer Service Award went to the AA, for its services to fleet operators. 
  • BT Fleet won the prize for Fleet Supplier of the Year. 
  • The Environment Agency received an innovation award in the large-fleet category. 
  • Royal Mail was accoladed for identifying cost savings. 
  • Panasonic was lauded for its environmental initiatives. 
  • Colin Marriott, recently retired as fleet manager at British Gas, was inducted into the Fleet News Hall of Fame.
