Hitachi adopts RAC telematics

RAC telematics devices will be installed in all new commercial vehicles operated by Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions in the UK.

The devices will thus become standard on all Hitachi CVS contracts. As a standard, they will collect a variety of data on vehicle conditions, providing cost benefit. Customers will have the option of activating further services such as location and driver behaviour monitoring, providing further benefits.

RAC customers report savings of up to 15% in the cost of fuel and wear and tear, and a reduction in accidents of 10%.
