LeasePlan is no longer up for sale

Discussions between LeasePlan's parent company and a group of investors interested in buying the lease company have been terminated.

On both 10 and 31 March, LeasePlan had confirmed that negotiations had been opened between Global Mobility Holding N.V. (GMH), its 100% shareholder, and a group of investors, regarding the potential divestment of LeasePlan by GMH.

Following the termination of those negotiations, GMH has now informed LeasePlan that it has no immediate plans to sell off LeasePlan, and will continue to support the company's current business course.

LeasePlan, which is based in Almere (NL) and leases 1.42 million cars annually, is owned in equal parts by Volkswagen and banker Friedrich von Metzler, via their joint venture GMH. It refrained from further comment on the termination of the talks.
