Tripndrive rewards car-sharing

Based in Paris, Tripndrive is a car-sharing company with a difference. Its services are based on an iOS smartphone application. So far, so predictable.

But Tripndrive has a USP through its partnership with Urbis Parking: its users are able to use parking spaces in 18 car parks throughout the city, and at the city’s train stations and airports – all free of charge.

Tripndrive allows easy access to the parking spaces, and users can make their car available to other drivers. The free parking option is always available, whether the car in question is rented out or not.

In case of lease vehicles, the driver can earn between 3 and 20 eurocent/km, up to 100 km/day (the fee varies according to the vehicle’s age and condition). For the additional kilometers, the driver can earn between 15 and 30 eurocent/km.

The driver can share his or her car for a period between a weekend and a month. Longer periods may require a programme that ensures a minimum income of 130 to 150 euro per month, with a  guaranteed use of his or her own car of up to 4 days/month.
