Volkswagen appoints Wesner as new Key Account Sales Director

Former Skoda director Lars-Cassio Wesner has been appointed at Volkswagen as the new Sales Director for Large and Direct Accounts. Mr. Wesner has taken up his new function from 1 September onward, succeeding Sven Kunath, who joined Volkswagen's International Sales department last April, focusing on Southern and Western Europe. In the intervening months, Sales and Marketing chief Michael Günther oversaw the Key Account department.

At Skoda, Mr. Wesner had been responsible for the worldwide dealer network. As head of Business Development at Volkswagen Group's Czech daughter brand, he also led the development of Skoda's fleet and used car business. Previously, he acted as head of Volkswagen's network organization for Sales and Marketing in Germany.
