The denomination Hybrid4 refers to a hybrid version of the 2.0 HDi FAP engine producing 163 bhp, and with the addition of an electric motor with a maximum output of 37 bhp.
As diesel engines consume less fuel than their petrol counterparts, this is a logical choice when putting together a hybrid propulsion unit.
The harmonious association of the diesel engine and the electric motor translates, in the case of the 3008 crossover, into 4-wheel drive with power of 200 bhp, a ZEV (Zero Emission Vehicle) mode and consumption of 3.8 litres/100 km with CO2 emissions of just 99 grams/km.
The 3008 Hybrid4 will be manufactured in France, on the Sochaux and Mulhouse sites, and will be launched in Europe in the spring of 2011.
