Peugeot has announced that it sold 441,790 passenger cars and LUV’s on the French market in 2011, giving it a market share of 16.8%. In the important C and D segments, the Brand did particularly well. Peugeot points to the success of the new 308, 508 and 3008 as contributing to its good figures, and is expecting further positive news to be generated by model renewals in this coming year: the new 107 is set to be launched, along with a revised 206+, and the new 208 sees its marketing start at the end of March. At the upper end of the range, the 508 has been market leader in large sedans, with sales of 28,500 units over the year (since its February launch).
