A - General conditions of use and legal mentions

The Nexus Communication sites and its satellite sites are protected by author’s rights, international regulations on intellectual property, commercial law and branding rights.

All texts, comments, works, illustrations, videos, pdf files and images reproduced on the Nexus Communication sites are the exclusive property of Nexus Communication, in accordance with the provisions of the Belgian law of 1994 relative to author’s rights and to annexed rights and as modified by the laws of April 3 1995, August 31 1998, May 22 2005, December 4 2006 and May 9 2007.

The information, texts, comments… published are exclusively for private use. It is forbidden to reproduce, translate, modify, broadcast, sell or use them in electronic format or any other format without the prior written agreement of Nexus Communication.

The brands mentioned on the sites belong to their respective owners.

All users of Nexus Communication sites recognises having taken note of the legal mentions and utilisation regulations, and agree to adhere to the provisions contained therein.

This present utilisation charter applies to the following sites:

This list is not exhaustive. Nexus Communication reserves the right to modify it at any time.

Nexus Communication complements its information provision by the possibility for visitors to buy products published by Nexus Communication, to subscribe to magazines and to information newsletters, to register for training courses and conferences. B - Comments section

The comments section enables you to contest or support each piece of information published on Nexus Communication sites. This section is available underneath each article, news item or dossier published on the sites.

Operating rules

Placing a comment on Nexus Communication sites implies the acceptance of the whole of the rules set out below.

All information published on Nexus Communication sites must be legal. You formally recognise this condition and you are responsible for the information you publish, both under civil and criminal law.

Your comments are to be restrained, which means that Nexus Communication reserves the right to totally or partially remove:

  • messages which fall foul of the law: racist, xenophobic, revisionist in nature
  • hateful, defamatory or aggressive messages
  • incitements to racial hatred and calls for violence or murder
  • messages which are pornographic, paedophilic or obscene in nature
  • personal insults
  • messages infringing on the private lives of third parties
  • advertising messages, communiqués from political or trades union organisations
  • repetitive and identical messages designed to saturate the comments section
  • messages placed by two participants to the disadvantage of a third person (proceedings)
  • personal messages exchanged between participants or posted on other forums
  • repeated links to other sites

 

You may criticise the arguments of other people, not individuals themselves. We also ask you to respect the spirit of the discussions taking place, without disrupting them with messages which are derisive, incomprehensible or irrelevant to the subject.

Messages are limited to 500 characters. If you wish to express an idea which is longer than the imposed character length, you may contact the Nexus Communication editorial team (cthonnon@nexuscommunication.be).

The Nexus Communication editorial team reserves the right to use reactions and comments to add to the consideration and writing of dossiers in its printed editions.

Notifying of infringement

Users who are disturbed by certain messages are invited to notify Nexus Communication of this by clicking on the ‘notify infringement’ button to be found beneath each message. If this claim is justified, the necessary measures will be taken immediately and will lead to the immediate removal of the comments involved.

Moderation

Reactions to articles will be moderated by the sites’ administrators. The administrators reserve the right to fully exercise their editorial and legal responsibilities and to apply the operating rules by removing, wholly or partially, a message.

Visitors who flagrantly and/or systematically violate this code will be temporarily or definitively forbidden from placing comments. Visitors are asked to identify themselves via an inscription on the Nexus Communication sites before being able to leave a message. A password will then be allocated for identification purposes when future comments are placed. Data collected during this inscription which may be personal in nature are confidential and subject to the laws on protection of private life.

Decisions taken by the editorial heads are without appeal and cannot be contested. Visitors commit to adhering to these operating rules by confirming their message.
Nexus Communication may at any time modify or amend these conditions. The modified version will be in force 30 days after its publication on the website.

C – Rules involving confidentiality and protection of private life

Nexus Communication adheres strictly to the Belgian law of December 8 1992 modified by that of December 11 1998 relative to the protection of private life. Data collected via inscription forms or by any other method available on Nexus Communication sites are confidential and will not be divulged to third parties. Data collected will only be used for the purposes of transaction, establishing global statistics on the visitors to Nexus Communication sites and statistics allied to the use of the sites. The data collected are for the purposes of improving the quality of service and information supplied by Nexus Communication.

Visitors have the right to decline to receive promotional messages from the commercial partners of Nexus Communication when submitting their inscription and their subscription. Visitors can also declare themselves opposed to such messages by modifying their personal details on-line.

Visitors also have a right of access, of rectification, and of disagreement with personal data involving him or her, via his or her on-line account.

Visitors also have the possibility of cancelling their subscription. No personal details will then be retained by Nexus Communication.
