PSA to build low-cost car for emerging markets
|
PSA Peugeot-Citroen is planning to build an entry-level car for emerging markets. It will be a low-cost, five-seat and five-door model and it will be sold under both Citroen and Peugeot badges in central and eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and North Africa. The group hopes it will be a rival to Renault’s succesfull Logan and to the forthcoming Fiat Topolino. If its proves a success, PSA’s low-cost car could then be sold in other markets, such as China and South America but not in western Europe.(AD)
