Renault celebrates its 80th anniversary in Morocco

In February 2008, Renault celebrates 80 years in Morocco. Renault has been a key automotive player there since the founding of Marocaine des Automobiles Renault (AMAR) in 1928, and its development is linked to that of the country. The new industrial complex to be built in the region of Tangiers, announced in September 2007, will reinforce Renault's presence. With 30,151 vehicles sold in 2007, the Renault group is No. 1 on the market with its two brands Renault and Dacia (29.1%) positioned in first (16.9%) and second (12.2%) place respectively.(AD)
