Russian car sales down 52 pct in August

According to data released by the Association of European Businesses (AEB), sales of passenger cars and LCVs in Russia were down 52 percent in September year-on-year to 117,981 units. The pace of the fall has slowed compared to August when sales were down 54 percent. The Ford Focus was the best-selling car with 40,466 units sold, followed by the Renault Logan (38,519 units). AEB data for the first nine months of the year showed that sales were down 51 percent.
