Second phase of Global Safety Initiative launched
|
Chevrolet, Michelin, Renault and Shell have pledged to fund a further, five-year second phase of the Global Road Safety Initiative (GRSI). The initiative will be managed by the Global Road Safety Partnership (GRSP). Established in 1999, the GRSP is a not-for-profit organization that brings together governments, governmental agencies, the private sector and civil society organisations to address road safety issues in low and middle income countries.
The news was announced at the First Global Ministerial Meeting on Road Safety in Moscow, where other global businesses were invited to join the initiative.
