SFR to test smart electrics
|
Telecoms company SFR is to test five smart electric drive cars in Paris. The company has taken delivery of one car, and four others are to follow by the end of the summer, reports autoactu. This makes SFR the first company in the country to take part in the wide-scale testing being undertaken by Mercedes-Benz prior to launching the vehicle into the European market in 2012. The smart electric is equipped with a battery developed by American company Tesla. The vehicles operated by SFR employees in Paris will be returned to the manufacturer after 48 months or 60,000 km for analysis. ING Car Lease is providing the contract, and SFR is installing recharging points in its various Parisian locations.
