US fleets becoming more environmentally aware

A survey carried out by American fleet management company PHH Arval has shown that United States companies – and fleet managers in particular – are beginning to measure the environmental impacts of their fleets in much the same way as happens more systematically in Europe. According to the survey, a little under a half of fleet managers now measure emissions, almost double the figure in 2008. Of these, nearly two thirds measure actual fuel consumption, and more than a third compare the real fuel consumption to the estimated figures produced by the US Environmental Protection Agency.
