VWFS trials MoDel

Volkswagen Fleet Services is undertaking a three month trial with the Ebbon-Dacs MoDel electronic vehicle delivery and collection system. The trial will take place within 17 of the 65 VWFS business partners, along with fleet clients from four leasing companies (Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, GE Capital Fleet Services, ING Car lease and VW Group Leasing). MoDel fully automates the delivery and handover process for new vehicles, and enables customer satisfaction to be monitored and fed back.

Speaking on behalf of VW Fleet Services, National Contract Hire and Leasing Manager Iker Lazzari (photo) said that his company expected to deliver around 500 new vehicles to fleet customers of the leasing companies involved in the trial, during the running period of the trial. He commented: “We are working with a mix of small, medium and large sized dealers within our fleet business partners’ network to test the quality of the service and collect customer feedback information at the point of handover. At that point, we will ask the customer five service questions to rate the overall experience and capture their responses.  This anonymously gathered information will allow us to make any necessary improvements, and will help achieve our objective to be in the top five manufacturers in terms of customer service by the end of 2013”.
