Wallonia subsidy halved
|
For inhabitants of Belgian province Wallonia, time is running out to benefit from the Regional government’s grant of € 1,200 for purchasing a car emitting less than 125 grams of CO2 per km. From September 1st, the subsidy is halved to € 600, and will only be available for cars (of which there are very few on the market), emitting less than 98 grams. Fleet Management, quoted by Profacility Magazine, observes that although at the outset only € 20 million had been set aside by the government for this scheme, some € 70 million have already been granted, doubtless a major reason behind the revision.
