On November 19th, a record attendance of 375 professionals, the very cream of the fleet world, gathered together for a gala dinner and Awards ceremony in Amsterdam, culminating in the presentation of the Fleet Europe Awards. Werner Berger, Global Fleet Solution Manager for Nestlé Business Services SA, carried off the top award, ahead of Frits Wondergem, Global Category Manager Fleet of BP International Ltd and Michael Zammit, European Category Manager at Astellas Pharma Europe Ltd.
Suspense had reached fever point after several months of waiting. The guests hung on every word of the presenters and the members of the jury, who handed out the prizes in person. Needless to say everybody was eager to know who the International Fleet Manager of the Year would be.

Also in the category Fleet Sustainable Awards, Fleet Europe decided to reward for the first time a company that has successfully implemented a mobility project for its fleet.
This Award was given to Giovanni Tortorici of Barilla.
Fleet Europe finally allocated the Fleet Safety Award. This trophy went to Frits Wondergem, Global Category Manager Fleet of BP International. Following his second prize in the category International Fleet Manager of the Year, this was the second Award that Frits Wondergem would be taking home with him.
