Chinese EV maker NIO unveils ET7 for Germany

NIO reveals ET7 sedan for Germany.

Setting Germany as the second target in Europe, Chinese EV maker NIO revealed ET7 for Germany ahead of deliveries in 2022.

NIO first unveiled the sedan ET7 as its flagship in January 2021. Yet, the company decided to expand into Norway with its electric SUV ES8. It's at this point not known if NIO plans to go further in Germany with SUV models after the ET7 sedan.

ET7 will be the first EV model of NIO to be sold in Germany. The automaker is also planning to release ET7 on the Norwegian auto market in 2022.

ET7 sedan comes with NAD (NIO Autonomous Driving), and this technology is to be gradually improved as NIO continues testing on autonomous vehicles.

According to the sales figures of ET7, NIO may decide to establish local production facilities and also collaborate with local OEMs.

ET7 is available for pre-order in China and will go on sale at the beginning of 2022, while it will be arriving in the German auto market in the last quarter of 2022. The 70 kWh version of ET7 is expected to have a price tag between €59,000-69,000.
