Seat and IBM develop AI-based urban navigation app

Seat, part of the VW Group, has partnered with IBM to develop an app for urban navigation, it was revealed at #MWC19 in Barcelona. Called Mobility Adviser, the app will inform users of the best way to combine multimodal transport options in order to get from A to B.

Already in development since October, the app will use IBM's Watson Artificial Intelligence (AI) system. Work is continuing this year. No release date has been specified, nor has it been decided whether the app will be released as a standalone tool, integrated into Seat software, or made available for integration into third-party products.
