Specialist remarketer Aston Barclay reinforces management team

Having recently opened a state-of-the-art auction facility in East Midlands, UK-based remarketing specialist Aston Barclay has secured key appointments and made changes to its management team in continuance of its aim to revolutionize the remarketing industry.

Former managing director and group chief executive of Perrys Group Ray Sommerville has taken up a role on the board as non-executive director and strategy advisor.

A raft of appointments bolster the sales team. Bob Wittridge has been appointed head of dealer new business. Gary Johnson has joined from Manheim as dealer national sales manager. Nick Thompson comes from Copart to be head of corporate and manufacturer new business.

John Crichton becomes the company’s new commercial director and chief financial officer. Meanwhile Alex Owen has been promoted to group financial director.
