Eddy Scheerlinck (Selecta) named Connected Fleets Manager of the Year 2022

The new European Connected Fleets Manager of the Year is Eddy Scheerlinck, Group Fleet Leader at Selecta. His award was presented by Ivan Lequerica, Vice President South and West Europe at Geotab. 

This award was instituted in 2021 as a response to the increasing importance of connected technology as a lever for fleet management efficiency. It is awarded to a person or team demonstrating excellence in adopting and implementing connected tech as a tool for increasing efficiency in fleet management.

The jury was impressed with the detail of information Mr SCHEERLINCK gets from the successful rollout of a group-wide telematics programme. With the support of telematics, Mr SCHEERLINCK and Selecta have achieved improved safety, thanks to an improved driver behaviour score that leads to fewer accidents, lower damage cost and a better loss ratio, as well as improved sustainability, with up to 10% lower fuel consumption, and finally also a more securely controlled TCO.

Mr SCHEERLINCK is responsible for a fleet of more than 5,000 vehicles, across 14 countries in Europe.
