Turkey OKs LCV leasing

The Turkish government has approved a new law that makes it possible for companies in Turkey (pictured: Istanbul traffic) to acquire light commercial vehicles (LCVs) through operational leasing.

For many years, it was not allowed for Turkish companies to use operational leasing to obtain LCVs. The only way to get them was to buy them outright. Since LCVs are a popular means of transport, this rule imposed a heavy financial burden on many companies.

The new rule, which will come as welcome news to Turkish SMEs especially, will allow them to use their capital more efficiently and will likely lead to a boom in LCV leasing in Turkey.
