Reiner heads Daimler FS (soon to be Daimler Mobility)

Franz Reiner, member of the Board of Management (BoM) at Daimler Financial Services (Daimler FS) with responsibility for Europe, is succeeding Klaus Entenmann as Chairman of the company. That move has generated a top-management reshuffle at Daimler FS.

  • In his new role, Franz Reiner (pictured), currently also CEO for the Mercedes-Benz Bank and for Athlon, will report to Bodo Uebber, Daimler BoM responsible for Finance and Controlling, as well as Daimler FS, a business unit of Daimler. Mr Reiner joined Daimler in 1992, holding various positions in Europe and America. In 2009, he was appointed to the BoM of Daimler FS, with responsibility for the Americas. In 2011, he was appointed to the European position.
  • Scheduled to retire in December 2019, Klaus Entenmann (62) will use the remainder of his time with Daimler FS to focus on strategic projects and the development of mobility services portfolio.
  • Meanwhile, Peter Zieringer will exchange his role as BoM member responsible for the Americas with that of Mr Reiner, taking over responsibility for Europe (including the German home market). Mr Zieringer joined the company in 1993 and played an integral role in setting up its operations in Asia. Since 2005, he led the Mercedes-Benz Bank and in 2011 was appointed to the BoM.
  • In turn, Mr Zieringer’s responsibility for the Americas will be taken over by BoM member Peter Henn, since 2014 BoM member responsible for the Africa and Asia/Pacific region. Mr Henn joined Daimler in 2007 as Head of Corporate Audit and Corporate Governance and was named its Chief Audit Executive in 2010.
  • Mr Henn’s oversight of Africa and Asia/Pacific will be taken over by Yvonne Rosslenbroich, until now BoM member for Human Resources. Since 2015, she has been responsible for global HR strategy for 14,000 employees across 40 countries. Before, she has led several markets as Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer.

A successor for Franz Reiner as CEO of the Mercedes-Benz Bank AG as well as a successor for Klaus Entenmann as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Mercedes-Benz Bank AG will be announced shortly.

In July 2019, Daimler Financial Services AG will be renamed and become Daimler Mobility AG. “Having worked with these outstanding leaders for such a long time, I am confident that they will transform Daimler FS into a very successful Daimler Mobility AG”, said Mr Uebber.
