Alphabet France launches Expertise Mobility Plan

In France, all companies having a minimum of 100 employees that are located in cities with more than 100.000 inhabitants, territories that have implemented an Urban Travel Plan, must put in place a mobility plan before January 1st, 2018. Even though this new legal constraint is not yet accompanied by a financial penalty in case of non-realization, companies realize they have to act now because in the future this might well be the case.

Given the fact that companies that have no specific knowledge of tackling mobility issues are likely to face problems in developing such a plan, Alphabet France offers to help them with the launch of a new service called "Expertise Mobility Plan".

The concerned companies will be able to solicit the help of BMW  Group’s long-term subsidiary to establish a mobility plan, but also to deploy carpooling and bike sharing solutions, thanks to partnerships established with EM Services, a subsidiary of RATP Dev specializing in consulting and expertise in sustainable mobility, IDvroom, a subsidiary of SNCF offering a carpooling platform, and finally with Green On, a company that deploys electric bike-share service solutions.

Alphabet France already allows companies to deploy car sharing solutions with its AlphaCity offer and to integrate EVs into their fleet with AlphaElectric, and estimates that at least 50% of its customers are concerned by the mobility plan.

Furthermore, Alphabet France expects to rapidly transform its AlphaCity car-sharing offer from MINI to other brands and plans to offer long term rental to employees of its corporate clients. The company estimates that its new car registrations will increase with from 7% up to 10% this year and predicts a total fleet growth of about 2%, to reach 100.000 vehicles in 2018.
