New TCO-calculation tool conquers Belgian fleet market

A new tool to make TCO calculations for cars has been launched in Belgium. TCOFleet.be provides fleet customers an independent and transparent report for their current fleet and an analysis for future fleet decisions. The calculated TCO values are multiple: the tool calculates today’s TCO considering the actual fiscal situation in Belgium, but also shows the new TCO values of the same vehicle from 2020 onwards, when new fiscal deductibility rules come into effect.

Even a simulation for the 2021 (or later) situation, when WLTP values replace the NEDC 2.0 values for taxation purposes, is made.

BDO has been asked to validate the contents, formulas and values of the tool, for added reliability.

TCOFleet.be is a product of the new company B-Xpertive, founded by former Toyota Fleet business development manager Bartje Van Gastel. In the near future, an LCV and Heavy Duty Vehicle version of the calculator will be launched, as well as a version that is specifically aimed at private customers. The company also emphasizes that the tool can be easily adapted to suit other kinds of taxation in different countries.
