Daniel Henzi to design BeiGene’s fleet strategy
BeiGene has appointed Daniel Henzi as its Director Fleet Operations Europe & New Markets.
Founded in 2010, BeiGene is a global biotech company developing innovative and affordable cancer treatments, with more than 10,000 employees worldwide. Its European HQ is in Basel, Switzerland.
From 2013 until joining BeiGene this past November, Mr Henzi was part of the global fleet procurement team at PepsiCo, with a responsibility for Europe. From 2011 to 2013, he was the global category lead for vehicles at Carlsberg.
In his new role, Mr Henzi will design, roll out and manage BeiGene’s fleet strategy in Europe and the company’s newer markets (including Latin America, Turkey and Israel). He will pay special attention to supplier optimisation and business efficiency, with special care and respect for people and planet.
“The company has asked me to build the fleet strategy and programme from scratch, which is an exciting task”, Mr Henzi says. “For many years, I’ve worked in a well-defined global fleet context, always looking for new opportunities and possible improvements. At BeiGene, I start with an almost blank slate. That means both freedom to operate and accountability. This dynamic aligns perfectly with my preferences.”
