Four key appointments at ALD

ALD Automotive has announced four key appointments. 

  • Pedro Dias is the new CEO of ALD Bulgaria. He replaces Olena Tymofiyiva, who was appointed CEO of ALD Hungary.

Mr Dias (pictured first from left) started in 1995 as Sales, Finance & Insurance Manager at Opel Portugal, in 2001 moving to Multirent as Sales Consultant. In 2002, he joined ALD Portugal as Sales Executive, became Marketing and Partnerships Director in 2008 and was appointed Senior International Key Account Manager at ALD in 2018. He holds a bachelor’s in Marketing (IPAM) and a master’s in Business Administration (ISEG, University of Lisbon). 

  • Anne-Cécile Huet was appointed CEO of ALD Norway. She replaces Annie Pin, who was appointed CCO of ALD and a member of the ALD Executive Committee. 

Ms. Huet (second from left) started in 2006 as bank inspector at Crédit Mutuel, joined Société Générale in 2009 as Head of Assignment in Internal Audit and moved to ALD Norway in 2011, holding various roles in risk and project management. In 2019, she was appointed Chief of Staff of the ALD Executive Committee and programme manager of ALD Flex. She holds a master’s in International Business (Rennes School of Business) and a master’s in Entrepreneurship (University of South Florida). 

  • Maciej Arway is the new CEO of ALD Poland. He replaces Marek Malachowski, who now is CEO of ALD Portugal and Regional Director for the Mediterranean.

Mr Arway (second from right) started at a company providing logistics and admin services to ALD Poland, ultimately joining the company in 2010. He held various operational roles, including in short-term rental and used-car sales, before his appointment as Operations Director of ALD Poland in 2015 and Sales Director in 2020. He holds a master’s in sociology (University Kard. S. Wyszynski) and a postgraduate degree in Marketing Management (Kozminiski University Business School).

  • Frédéric Hamain, currently CEO of ALD Russia, has also been appointed as Regional Director for North East Europe, in which role he replaces Marek Malachowski. Additionally, Mr Hamain joins ALD’s Operating Board, which consists of the Group’s executive and operational directors. The Board’s task is to ensure strategic alignment on all business initiatives. 

Mr Hamain (first from right) started in 1991 as back-office deputy manager at Société Générale subsidiary Barep Asset Management. In 1993, he moved to Moscow to head up SG Vostok’s capital markets back office. In 2000, he became Head of Global Banking Services and Commercial Banking at SG Warsaw. From 2004-06, as its General Manager, he oversaw the acquisition of First Lease in Kiev by ALD. Following stints as CCO at Rusfinance in Russia and CEO at ALD Fortune in China, he became CEO of ALD Russia in 2015. He holds a master’s in Accounting and Finance and a postgraduate degree in International Tax and Finance (University of Lille II).
