New Appointments at the Association of Fleet Professionals

The Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) has appointed two new deputy Chairpersons. Previously under Stewart Lightbody’s stewardship, responsibility for the role will be shared between Lorna McAtear and Matt Hammond in recognition of the diversity of knowledge and skills the position demands.

McAtear is Head of Fleet at National Grid and holds an international CPC. She’s also won awards for steering the National Grid’s project to transition its 2,700-vehicle fleet to zero-tailpipe emission models. She’s a regular and respected contributor at industry conferences and round tables and an AFP board member.

Hammond is a national and international CPC holder with over 12 years of experience in transport and fleet management.

AFP chair Paul Hollick said: “Lorna and Matt are extremely well known and respected across the fleet sector with a huge amount of expertise. We are sure they will prove important assets to our organisation in their new deputy chair roles.”

Hollick continued: “Stewart has done an excellent job over the last few years, and we’d like to thank him for bringing great expertise and panache to the position. He remains a member of our board and a key part of the AFP.”
