Sortimo extends partnership with Berner to European level

After a successful pilot in Germany, in-vehicle equipment builder Sortimo is expanding its collaboration with chemical products manufacturer Berner. The shoulder-to-shoulder cooperation must bring added value to customers of both brands.

Sortimo is the leading brand in customization, offering everything from van racks to cleverly designed workplace boxes for the LCV cargo space and highly tailored adaptations for special vehicles. To facilitate the experience for its business customers, it runs a joint brand, BTI by Berner, aiming at companies with specific needs in the construction sector.

After a positive evaluation, the partnership is leveraged to key markets across Europe. A birthday present in the year that Sortimo celebrates its fiftieth anniversary. BTI by Berner delivers chemicals like isolation foam, fastening, and working clothes.

"Excellent opportunity"

Managing Director of Sortimo Reinhold Braun said: "Both Berner and Sortimo customers in selected countries can benefit from the opportunity to refinance their customized in-vehicle equipment through sales of Berner's products." He also denoted the involved synergies as an "excellent opportunity".

Sortimo has a longstanding history of partnerships with B2B brands to optimize the everyday work of its customers and streamline its portfolio. Other manufacturers with whom it has developed seamlessly integrated parts, services or new materials are fastening specialist Fischer, LCV manufacturer Mercedes Vans, power tools providers Bosch Professional and Hilti, and hand tools maker Gedore.
