Andy Leeden (AstraZeneca) is European Green Fleet Manager of the Year

Andy Leeden, Global Fleet Category Manager at AstraZeneca, is the European Green Fleet Manager of the Year 2019.

Mr Leeden (pictured left) received his prize from Mark Howlett (pictured right), Fleet Sales Manager at Kia Motors Europe during the ceremony of the Fleet Europe Awards in Estoril on 7 November.

Mr Leeden’s mission at AstraZeneca is to create sustainable fleet solutions to deliver safe, effective and best value employee mobility. He manages a fleet of 18,000 vehicles globally of which 6,200 operate in Europe. The three building blocks of Mr Leeden's mission are: the consolidation of OEM and Leasing partners, transitioning to mobility integrators as they emerge and offer viable solutions; Fleet electrification as soon as feasible; and access to and usage of OEM, telematics and traveller data to understand demand, usage, risks, cost to optimise fuel types and develop car versus mobility offer.

As a result, 73% of 2019 YTD deliveries in Europe were alternative fuelled cars with average 95g/km (100% hybrid in US).
